7.25.11: GoLocalApps releases Fairfield-Suisun Valley app

Article posted on Monday, July, 25th, 2011 at 5:37 am

The Fairfield/Suisun Valley area is between Sacramento and the Bay Area, on Highway 80. Probably best known for Travis Air Force Base, the Jelly Belly factory, and the massive highway rest stop of Cordelia Junction. But like most other areas of California, it is at its heart, agricultural, and includes a small, but thriving, wine industry.

The Fairfield-Suisun Valley app was a project between the Suisun Valley Vintners and Growers Association (http://www.svvga.com/) and the Fairfield Hotel Association, a natural mix of businesses that want to attract visitors to the region. This made two of the categories of the app easy – wineries and hotels. Tourism apps like these also usually include Dining and Events, both of which were included in the final product.
