Announcing Tulsa Book Review
Article posted on Saturday, September, 24th, 2011 at 4:11 pm1776 Productions, publisher of the Sacramento and San Francisco Book Reviews is proud to announce the newest licensed City Book Review – Tulsa.
Licensed by the Tulsa City-County Library system, Tulsa Book Review (TBR) will be a monthly book review being distributed around their community, in addition to the 27 branches of the library. 1776 Productions will be designing and producing the monthly editions for TBR, including local content and ads produced by the Tulsa City-County Library system.
Reviews included in TBR will be selected by Tulsa from the existing reviews generated by the Sacramento and San Francisco Book Reviews, but will also include local Tulsa authors and books also of interest to the Tulsa region.
“At the Tulsa City-County Library, we are working hard to build a community of readers, as we believe libraries change lives and only through literacy can an individual achieve his or her full potential. We are very proud to sponsor and offer the free monthly Tulsa Book Review to our community,” said Gary Shaffer, chief executive officer, Tulsa City-County Library.
“We’re very pleased to be expanding not only our book review coverage, but also more printed book review publications in a still-shrinking market. We will also be continuing our exploration of new digital ways to distribute book reviews, while continuing to license print versions of the book reviews. Working with Gary and the Tulsa City-County Library team to create their own book review is a fun and exciting part of our growth, says Heidi Komlofske, President & CEO of 1776 Productions.”
The first issue of TBR will be released the beginning of November 2011, with subsequent issues released at the beginning of each month following. It will contain Tulsa City-County Library event schedules, news, updates, and book reviews from more than 40 different book genre categories.
